Community & social value
We like to get involved in our local community.
We actively promote social inclusion and try to involve every group in the community a project might affect.
Local money, kept local
£1 with PLP is £2.84 in the local economy.
We're committed to employing our team directly from the local community, so the money clients spend with us is redistributed almost entirely locally. For every construction £1 spent with PLP, £2.84 is spent within the local community and businesses (CBI report).
When we were Highly Commended for Delivering Social Value at the NFB Awards 2016, the judges said:
“When SMEs work in their own communities the results can be spectacular, PLP Construction should be commended for the extra mile they went and continue to go as recent patrons of the Wigan Youth Zone.”
